Don’t let another day go by without planning some travel time this year. Ready to give it some thought? Let’s go!

ready

Where?

This is the first question. Maybe abroad. Or you might want to stay stateside. You could even get away right here in Portland. In any case, think about it. Begin to read about and dream about where you want to go.

When?

If you’re actually going to go, you will want to plan, for many reasons:

  • Because leaving is complicated
  • You might have the pets or the plants to think about
  • The people you work with will want to know when you’ll be away
  • Certain places are better at certain times of the year than others
  • You may want to book your trip to get the best rates
  • Etc.

So think about it. When do you want to go?

Why?

Because it’s good for you. Dreaming about traveling is good for your mind, body and soul. When you have somewhere to go, it opens up more scope for the imagination.

It also gives you something to look forward to. Let’s face it; once the new year or even just a new day begins, you’re back in the soup of the every day. Monday blends into Wednesday blends into Sunday; another week begins. You are going to want some landmarks to punctuate your ordinary time.

The takeaway:

Get ready now to travel. Put some trips on the calendar so you’ll have something to look forward to; so when the times comes, you’ll actually go.
